MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND AT SPROUL STATE FOREST
We dare you to come to Sproul...one of Pennsylvania's beautiful, yet punishing places to ride!
The Main Trailhead and camping area is located at the top of Two Mile Run road. It's quite primitave but still makes a nice area to hang out for the weekend. The riding area starts right at the foot of your camper.
All trails are well marked with "yardsticks"...this trail being out near the number 3 offers a scenic ride through the thick mountains
Even on a cloudy day, you can see for miles accross the mountain range at certain designated "vista's".
This picture (below) was taken at the top of "the wall" at number 8. Speaking of which, sometimes you get "the wall" and sometimes "the wall" gets you! Here is another example of on of the many vista's.
Got hillclimbs? The number 7 offers several demanding side-by-side hillclimbs compiled from the old strip mining days.
"The Pit" is well-known for it's reputation for claiming lots of atv's. There's only one way out! Our buddy Tom shows how to launch up and out of it in a hurry but this bike although illegal in Sproul eats him alive with a 12 footer! We couldn't get a sucker to stand underneath for the camera!
