          Construction Delays

Rocky Gap ATV trail will be closed on Sept. 4, 2007  for reconstruction work.  Trail will reopen for normal season Dec. 20th.
As it is known now, Timber Ridge Campground in Russel City is now  closed but in an agreement being worked out with our partners we hope to retain trail conection to Russel City services.   Please advise users to watch for signage if plans change.

Whiskey Springs (Sproul) will be open for Memorial Day week end starting Friday, but will close on July 9th to (undetermined). During the closure a natural gas line will be installed up the entire entrance road making the trail inaccessible. Trail is part of the DCNR state ATV trail system.

Snow Shoe Rail Trail will be having work parties for the entire month of April to implement a $100,000 DCNR grant for trail head improvement. This project will include unloading ramps, a Kiosk, pavilion and massive trail head grading (hopefully pavement), trails to remain open during construction.

Riders interested in signing up to help out are urged to contact Larry Mayes at Lgm2@nw.opp.psu.edu

John C Oliver recreation area (Bloody Skillet) is closed until May 25th, for trail expansion, (see map finished trail)

Work including the connection to the "brick yard" trailhead almost complete, the "Brick yard" will be a new trail head for Bloody Skillet in 2007. (DCNR $165,594 grant)
