Cochranton's
12th Annual Poker Run...2001
|
Welcome
to this year's brand new hosting site for the Cochranton Poker
Run. This event is once again bigger and better as it arrives
into Pennsylvania's most popular atv riding town. The event is
owned and maintained by the Allegheny Highland Pulling Association.
Big rigs, factory displays and related industry roll into the
"Expo area" starting on Thursday, April 5th. The entire
event will be moved this year to a new and larger location just
on the other side of town. A local farmer has donated his pastures
to accommodate the large crowds and displays. This new site will
hold the starting areas, camping, parking, and the atv Expo.
This year, there will be 4 trails which will all have the same
level of difficulty. This will help out with bottlenecks but don't
expect any clean sailing with 10,000 expected riders! The staff
are all volunteers from the local town and the AHPA...no one has
a paid position....they are all donating their time and efforts
for you. All proceeds will go towards local charities.

It takes over 150 landowners, who have donated
their properties, to put on this years event. Be sure to wave
to them on the way by....if it wasn't for support from these folks,
we wouldn't have such a great event to be a part of. Please respect
the fields and farms and remain on the trail systems.
Camping and parking space will be allotted on a per-machine basis.
Individuals transporting numerous atv's for a group of participants
will be assessed on each machine on board with no charge for participants
arriving without machines. These haulers (trailers etc.) should
be fee prepared for the number of machines on board.
New to this year, is a professional atv auction. If you have an
atv, in good or bad condition, this is your chance to have it
auctioned off. Serious enquiries can be made to the auctioneer
(info is in the forums).
There is a formal flyer that is posted in our Pa Atving.com forums....please
stop in and have a look! All important facts and details are posted
as well as any questions you may have. Be sure to register (free)
and help build a quality site for Pa atv'rs
